I bought my baby girl little Wellie boots in hopes it would keep her pads from drying out from the snow...she refused to move and looked at me like "Mom you have to be kidding me." (I wish I had gotten a picture!)

Does anyone have any ideas for keeping her pads from cracking? I feel so bad because we walk on concrete and pavement most of the time. She hates grass and dirt with a passion.

Agreed with MaplesMommy

There are lots of products out there you can buy for your dogs paws, but coconut oil works wonders... and it's also something most people already have at home!

We use it on our dogs paws, and noses! We also cook with it, use it as moisturizer, and I put it in my hair even for deep conditioning!

I kind of thought that might work! That's perfect - I use it as a makeup remover and cook with it. Seems to come in handy for a lot of things.

Regular daily walks year around really help toughen those pads so they can handle winter snow and ice!

Even though I have coconut oil, I bought some Natural Dog Company paw soother and it's great! They have protector too. I'm a sucker for the cute packaging!

I use Musher's Secret or Aquaphor
