What size crate should I buy for my new puppy?

Hey everyone!

I just joined this forum as I'm getting a brindle puppy (male) in late August. I've read that you should buy a crate for an adult size dog, and just section off part of it while they're still small so you don't have to purchase 2 crates.

What size crates do you all have? I can't decide if I should get a 24" or a 30" size.

Would greatly appreciate your insight! Thanks so much,

i have chosen 30' for the crate and 24' for the pen height. I use a partition in the cage. If you don't have a partition accessory,,you can use any kind of box to block off part of the crate.

We use the 24 X 30 crate for our Frenchies, and it is plenty of room for them.
