The title says it all. Frankie is 10 wks old and I have never seen him have a solid bowel movement. At best they are thin ribbons of soft serve consistency. Is this how it "normally" is? or am I just worrying about nothing? (the vet didn't seem too worried, but I was hoping for some feedback from some Frenchie owners)

It could be the stress of being in a new home and away from his mom and littermates. Have you taken him for a vet visit and done a fecal test to check for parasites? Also, what are you currently feeding?

What food are you currently feeding and how much with each meal?

It could be stress, a parasite, the food itself, or too much food as previously mentioned. If you are following recommendations for feeding amount on the bag split over 3 times a day then try lowering the amount slightly to see if this helps. You should be feeding 3 times a day until at least 6 months of age. You can try giving some canned pumpkin ( not the pie filling one ) if everything else fails. Also try giving some probiotic, eg. raw goats milk, live sauerkraut from refrigerator section of health food store, milk kefir, or a doggie probiotic such as probiotic miracle.

I agree with all of the above! We brought Handsome home at 8 weeks and across his puppy shots, being away from his mom and littermates, new home etc, his poop took a while to become a normal solid poop. He also had puppy worms so the medicine also contributed.

I would say this is all normal, please also ensure your vet knows. For us, canned pumpkin always helps. Frenchies are very prone to tummy and poop issues, we have learned this along the way.

You've had some good advice. I assume you are feeding him the same food the breeder was, if you are going to change food do it gradually.
