New puppy arriving, worried about how my current frenchie Bruno is going to welcome the tiny frenchie

Hi I’m Terri , adding to our family a 8 week old frenchie male. Currently have a 6 year old male Bruno that is horribly spoiled. He does well in doggy play groups, but is terrified of bigger dogs. Worried about how he going to behave when this tiny puppy arrives.

My Frenchie was 4 when I brought Louie home and Jax wouldn’t go near him for 3 weeks. There can definitely be an adjustment period so just give it time. Let the older dog correct the puppy so he learns boundaries.

Same... our guy Cheli, did not interact with our bulldog for thee full weeks, he would leave the room. Fast forward 9 years later, Cheli is 13, our bulldog passed in January, we bring home a Frenchie puppy (10 mths old) and Cheli is doing the same thing. we are a month in and he is tolerating ut still not interacting
