Hi I'm new here.
Unfortunately my beautiful 14 month old French Bulldog Loki died from cancer a few days ago.
Long story short.
Loki's health plummeted over his last week. He lost weight, was lethargic, no appetite, depressed, stopped drinking etc.
I took him to the vet, come to find out he has urinary cancer, he had a large tumor in his bladder, almost the entire bladder was filled with this massive tumor.
He was just trying to pee over and over nothing but a tiny dribble coming out. He was trying to pee out his tumor. Poor little guy
My vet wanted me to take him to a cancer specialist vet to confirm this was a tumor in the bladder. So I did, it was true, there was no surgery option. His whole bladder was filled with this tumor. The specialist gave no options euthanasia only, as he was suffering at this point.
So I went ahead and had my beautiful baby boy Loki euthanized.
He died 1 year and 6 days or 371 days after I bought him, in his 14th month of age.
Afterward I asked the vet at the cancer specialist what could have caused this and how I could avoid something like this from happening in the future.
The vets response was "it was congenital it was something he was born with"...
The breeder did make it right and offer me a replacement puppy free of charge.
I'll have my new puppy in about three months.
RIP Loki boy forever in my heart...
