Hello everyone!

I searched and searched the forums and am only able to find people posting about ears that are drooping back or ears that are flopping over. My little girl Roux's ears are a bit "lazy." They only pop up when she hears a new noise. When she's sleeping, when she's running, or when she's doing anything else their 'default position' is down and flat. She is 16 weeks old (full frenchie, I checked her AKC papers and confirmed w/ my vet!) and so I am worried there may be something wrong or she might not have gotten the proper nutrients or vitamins! She is my first french bulldog.

Is this something to be concerned about?

Is there anything I should be doing?

Thank you everyone in advance! I am posting pictures below!!!

I have heard that this can happen when they are teething, so there's a chance this could be the case since she is only 16 weeks old.

Ok, thank you! It seemed like the normal time frame was around 3 months so I was starting to get concerned. I just hadn't seen them go backwards like that!

Try giving her a bit of yoghurt eg. goats milk yoghurt since it's more digestible, not too much since you don't want rapid bone growth, maybe about one tablespoon a day.

OH my... what an adorable face!

The ears can droop due to teething... they should pop back up

Thank you so much!!! I think you are right. Now some days they are up some days they are down... I think she can control when they flop back.. it's hilarious to watch!

Thank you!!!! :)

UPDATE

It seems I have been panicking about nothing. I started giving her a little bit of yogurt every other day as a treat. I'm not sure if it has had any effect but her ears seem to be standing up most of the time now (although she can move them back and does so when she decides to chase the cats or do the "Frenchie 500" around the Island.)

Here's a picture of her, ears perked up!

Thanks everyone!!!

Hi there-
I am new to the foruma dn we have a 3 month old puppy and his ears just started falling a bit. They have been staight up for weeks. I'm thinking of trying the yogurt. What kind of yogurt do you use? Adn how much do you give every other day? Thanks so much!

This could be from teething... don't be too concerned

Oh, little Roux is a honey bear! Her ears are standing nicely. Sounds like you are smitten. Nothing like a frenchie!
