For the last month my 9 month old Deuce has shown signs of allergies. He was put on an antibiotic and an antihistamine. Still has watery eyes, runny nose and sneezing. The other day he came in from outside with this "white" looking coating covering his nose/mouth. I wiped it off and discovered it was mucus. I thought when it got a little cooler the allergies would not affect him as much. Is it the changing of the seasons that makes it worse?

Also, he is drinking A LOT of water. Even when he had been taking a lengthy nap. Could that be a sign of something?

It seems as though his back right leg sometimes "slips" out from under him when he walks on our wood floors. I am probably being neurotic!!

Any answers or advice would be appreciated. Deuce's mom (Fran)

Some allergies are seasonal and will go away with the season. But most are food related. What food do you have him on? Plus the slip of the leg could just be the slippery floor.

Is it ok to give your Frenchie Benedryl?

Yes. One mg per pound. However, if you can figure out what's causing the allergy -- that's better. Experiment with foods. If it's environmental there are many holistic approaches... Like local raw honey.

Wow! I would have never thought of that. I need to google home remedies. Much better than meds. How much honey? Thank you[emoji3]
