I have two Frencies (Sprocket (2.5) and Rifle (1)), Rifle is just an anxious little dude all the time. He gets really excited when anyone comes over or even looks in his direction. I have tried ignoring him until he calms down, on my arrival from work, which seems to sort of help. He does that sweet little "piddle" when excited thing too. I dont know what to do to help him, he is also hyper aware of everything around him! THis is somewhat affecting his ability to remain 100% potty trained too.

Did i mention he eats poop like its going out of style? I have tried poo deterrant of all sorts...

Any ideas?

My guy gets excited over people too. When our kids call and say they are coming I have to take him outside just before they arrive or he'll leak on the floor. He could care less about other animals but he goes bananas over people. You should see him at the vet, omg, I think he could have a stroke. I take him for a bath and nail trim and he doesn't even look back at me he just screams and whines for his girlfriends at the doggy spa. I assume that it's a FBD thing because I have raised many types of dogs and NEVER had a dog act like him. He screams at a drive-thru. He has girlfriends at Starbucks, Burger King and McDonald's. It's embarrassing lol. My dog doesn't eat poop though so my only advice on that is make sure you pick it up right away. Even though our yard is double fenced I walk him on a leash and carry a plastic bag and pick up his poo immediately so if he were a poo eater I'd never know. He's never pooped in our house even as a puppy so I'm not sure about any of that either. Just a thought .......my dog wasn't a chewer either but one day when he was several months old he saw something underneath one of my dining room chairs and went after it. I heard him and stopped it right away but I was scared he'd return to the scene of the crime so we took some ground red pepper on the underside where he had been interested in chewing and when he went back there and tasted that he never returned again. What about putting a little tiny bit in his stool and rolling it back into shape (hand covered in plastic) and leave it. He'll only eat it once I bet. Not a lot of pepper, just a small dash and roll it around and reshape. Do it for awhile so when he returns to eat it he'll smell it and eventually just give up. Of course this only works if you're home and can mix the poop right away. Good luck!4.27.2013Carl'sJr.jpg This is the excitement of Carl's Jr..

Jax goes CRAZY whenever anyone comes to our house. He doesn't mind going to the vet's office as well because there are people there that give him love. He loves to be wherever people are. He used to do a little piddle when he was excited when he was younger but not anymore. I've never had a problem with him eating poop.

He is still young too, so that adds to the excitement, and should settle down in a few years. The peeing when excited, some never grow out of it and some do. Just be patient and keep working with him.

I have an EB (7 & 1/2) who started eating dog poop (Buster's) when we got Buster. At first we thought he was just being Mr. Mom and cleaning up the baby's scent. He developed a taste for poop. We tried everything to get him to stop but the only thing that works is for us to pick up the poop right away.

I have two FBD both males, 10month old Cosmo and 7month old Carlos. Cosmo is care free and just a super chilled happy dog, Carlos on the other hand is very nervous all the time, still won't walk on the leash and when we leave them alone at home, he poops everywhere and eats it up, tears up everything. I believe he has separation anxiety but I don't know what o do to help him. He should be happy with a friend with him but he still continues to be destructive. I feel sad for him being in such a panic. Please help would love any advice. :)
Thank you

Here we go....

I have a product for you called Forbid. We used to sell it at the pet store I worked for back in HS it's been around for like 20 years.

Stop Stool Eating with For-Bid for Cats

As for the peeing and getting super excited. That will get better in time as others have said. I do not greet my dogs when I first walk in the door. I give them time to calm down first and then when they ignore me and walk away, then I go to them to give them love and attention. Offering love and attention when a dog is in an anxiety state or super excited only get them MORE anxious and excited and confirms the behavior as a good and wanted state of mind and that is the opposite of what you want. Ignore completely until he/she has calmed down and is doing their own thing and then go to them and greet. If you have people coming over, put them in another room or outside till the visitor has time to come in then let the dog in but tell teh visitors to ignore the dog until they calm down.

good luck.
