my little girl is 15 weeks old now and thought about what temps she could do ok in. i bought her from a breeder who drove out form las vegas to me, bullhead city, out temps now are getting to 100 in the afternoon but she still likes to go outside and walk around the front yard, its all cement and pavers, she does have a doggy door and can go and come as she likes. ive read that they done do well in high temps. i had a shitzu that i would have to go inside because he would actually lay outside in the sun and i worried he would have a heat stroke, figured he was to dumb to get out of the heat, and he might of been. he never did get heat stroke or have any problems form it but then id go back inside, or id lock him inside when i would work outside in the heat for prolong periods. just wonder if the french bulldog is the same way, to dumb to get out of the heat.

it is not so much that they are 'dumb' they enjoy sunbathing. My girl would stay out till I forced her in the house, but my boy is very good at regulating himself. However, I would not be comfortable leaving the access to the doggie door if you are not home to monitor.

I agree that she should be monitored with high temps. They both love sunbathing but once one of them starts to pant a lot I will make them go inside to cool down. Wally will lie on the kitchen tile floor with all 4 legs stretched out so he can cool down his stomach and his 'bits'.

As others have said, they so not do well in the heat and can over heat quickly. I do not like doggie doors, because if you are not paying close attention, they will go out to sun, and can die out there from heat stroke quickly, so please be very careful with that, plus I would block it when you are not gone, do not trust them to come back in when they get too hot.

they are locked inside when we are gone but now im going to be paying extra attention even when home.

I would be very careful in that kind of heat. If they are overheated and can't cool themselves down it can be fatal.
