I have a 2-year-old unaltered female Frenchie, who is to have a BOAS consult March 3rd knowing their difficulties with sedation and anesthesia I was wanting to have her spayed at the same time, but I am reading conflicting information and that it is frowned upon. My question here is has anyone had both surgeries completed at the same time and what was the outcome and what would you suggest? Of course, I will discuss this with my vet and the specialist. My boy had both at the same time and did wonderfully, but females are a more complicated surgery. ( I searched the forum before posting this and came up with nothing).

Thank you all.

It will depend on your vet and the amount of time needed under anesthesia… I would, as you are already d, have a lengthy conversation with your vet to make that determination

Thank you. I have been reading thru the forums and there is so much great information here. I have had Frenchie's for many years not sure how I missed seeing this site for all that time.

Glad you finally found us!

If you are on any Facebook groups, reddit, or anywhere else you might be able to post a link to us to help other people find us, we would be much appreciated!

I am and I will do that. As the breed has become the " trend" so many poorly bred frenchies out with owners who are clueless about their issues this site would be very helpful for them.

Yes, they have become (I think) the most popular dog out there now. It's a bit sad to see so many owners that don't have any idea just how much work and money it is to care for these dogs properly :(

Glad we have you aboard to help us out though, thank you!
