I am moving to Northern Ohio (Cleveland) I have been searching and searching for some good breeders. I have found some, but most are only breeding cream, brindle or fawns. I really really would like to find some blues, chocolates or pied. Can anyone please show me some good breeders in the surrounding states? I guess travel is not a big deal but the closer the better haha! Thank you!

Breeders cant be discussed publicly, but if someone knows somebody they can private message you.
The reason why you are having a hard time finding 'blues' and 'chocolates' is because these colours arent breed standard and therefore not bred by registered breeders.

Welcome franksdaddy. I have my color preferences, too, but believe me, they are all too cute for words. If you are looking for a "good" breeder, I would caution you against someone breeding blues and chocolates. First off, for these "specialty colors," you are going to pay a small fortune (for nothing). These colors do not conform to the breed standard and should not be present in frenchie-to-frenchie breedings. The breed standard is the prototype for the breed. The way these breeders get these specialty colors is by breeding their frenchie to a different breed of dog or a frenchie that already has some mix in them. (Usually, these pairings can produce more than the average 1-3 dogs per litter that frenchies have, which is another thing more profitable to the breeder.) These breeders are more concerned about their profitability than breeding to enhance and protect the breed standard. What is most important is that the breeder is conducting full health testing of the sire and dam before breeding to try to "breed out" many of the inherent health problems that can be present in the breed. Good luck with your search.

You can check with the AKC on line for breeder referrals in your area.

I agree, there is no such thing as a "good" breeder breeding for "color" Anything that is bred that is not to the FBDCA standard is not a true French bulldog, and should never be bought. People who breed these dogs are for the money only and not the betterment of the breed.
