We got our frenchton about a month ago when he was 10 weeks old. He's not 100% housebroken yet but other than things are great. He has a sister that's available for sale. Shes beautiful and looks a lot like my pup, she's very tempting. I'm a stay home mom and our puppy is rarely home alone but he does get a bit bored durning the days. I'm on my hands and knees all the time playing playmate and trying to come up with new and fun activities for us to do. On the plus side we have a very close and special bond. He is always by my side and loves to be cuddled. At night hes either on top of me or nose to nose. I love those moments and wouldn't want that to ever change. I know he'd love a playmate especially a litter mate but I fear he'll lose interest in me and the rest of the family. I'm also worried about house breaking since i read it's much easier to do with one puppy. If anyone has experience with litter mates or bringing another puppy into the home I'd love to hear how it turned out

I always say more is better than one. He will love the playmate, and house training won't be any harder, in fact sometimes it's better as they will learn from each other. As far as the bond, that will be there, it's just that they will play together, but still love their humans. When I sit on our couch at night I have at least two to three in my lap at all times, sometimes four will try to get in there. We have 5 Frenchies. Sometimes one might get a little jealous, so show them both the same attention, and if they get jealous, just tell them NO, and it might be time for a time out. They will want to play a lot since they are young, so limit their play time as they still need plenty of rest. You will know when it's time and they get tired, they are like kids, they get cranky, and then it's nap time. I say go for it, you will be glad you did.

Thanks David that's all I needed to hear. Calling the breeder now:)

I would love four frenchies in my lap!!!

How do you tell them it's nap time when they are cranky?

I say, "Get in your houses" (crates), they do and I close the crate!

2 pups are better than one! I'm glad you are going for it!

@ Mavis when they get cranky or need a nap, it's crate time. :)
