Please check my new puppy checklist of items I've compiled here waiting for my little guy...

* Large bag of diamond naturals puppy (current food)
* Large bag of Fromm puppy (future food)
* Bowls
* Collar & tags
* Leash
* Crate & bedding
* Nylabones
* Elk antlers
* Marrow bones
* Kong
* Jolly Teaser Ball
* JW hol-ee roler
* Unstuffed plush toys
* Treats
* Vets Appointment made

Still undecided if I am going to use pads for housebreaking or not... So I'll get some of that's the route I decide.

Anything else you can think of?

Would be cool if the mods make this a sticky, maybe entitled "comprehensive new puppy checklist" as members add items?

I think you pretty much got it all covered. Maybe some puppy shampoo/wipes incase he gets some pee/poo on him.

Also, I dont know how large the 'large' bags are, but I wouldnt buy a size that lasts you longer than a month; unless you want to freeze some.
Antioxidants on the food last less than a month, so if the food last you longer than that the oxygen will start breaking down nutrients and the oils turn rancid.

You forgot one more!
* never ending bully quality time

Can the mods move this to the appropriate area? I accidentally posted here on photos & videos :-/

Looks like you are all set.... great list, only thing I might add would be unscented baby wipes (clean face, belly or paws as necessary)

I've got a ton of those with having a hairless cat lol... One thing I think I missed is that drying wipe that some people here talk about for the tail pocket...

Good list! I would also add some No Odour spray in case of accidents indoors.

We didn't use pads for either dog. We just used newspaper and they both didn't have any issues with potty training.

Ear cleaner... we use Burts and bees

A brush !!!

Looks like you're set. Maybe a x-pen. Rather than always crating when you can't watch him you could put him in an x-pen. I used mine a ton because it is portable and I used to even take it outside when I was gardening so Jake could watch me.

I had forgotten to mention I got the Kong zoom groom.

I haven't seen the burts bees ear cleaner!

I actually went to baby's r us today and picked up their own brand "play yard" for 69.00 it's honestly so much better than any of the "pet ones". I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!

Good list! Maybe grab some scent free washing powder / detergent for when you want to wash bedding etc. :)

Yeah I was like you too and nervous about getting everything and the right thing. Are the bowls metal ? Did not see nail cutters or dremel I purchased but to nervous to do his nails oh and quickstop for the bleeding can use flour. Seriously you have lots of time and learning along the way is part of the fun relax and enjoy. My advice get lots of pictures they grow so fast and socialize your pup as much as possible. Your going to be a great bully parent - you are here for starters and am so looking forward to reading your future posts don't forget we go nuts for pics. :w00t:

Hahaha luckily my aunt is a dog groomer for 30+ years—so he will be seeing Aunt Joanne for beauty time.

She's actually the one who talked me out of a bull terrier years ago and started me on considering a Frenchie!

He doesnt have teeth yet but he has elk antlers.
Thats one lucky pup. Lol

Your aunt definitely steered you right. You won't regret it.

I would pick up a rubber brush. Ours is oval, flat and has short "bristles". I brush Bambi several times a week and she loves it. I get a decent amount of hair out of her. I think it is a good thing to do all around for circulation, stimulation, coat quality, etc. Can't wait til you get your little guy!
