Hi guys I'm relatively new to the forum, I've been doing some reading to hopefully soon get my first Frenchie. I'm looking to get a really high quality frenchie when it comes down to build.
I know this color "Blue Fawn" is not recognized by the clubs, but this is what my girl seems to like, Id much rather get a Red Fawn with Black Mask. But Compromises!

What you guys this of this puppy's build? his nose seems too low for standards? any other pointers?

Thank you

Do you think his proportions specially his nose and head are ok according to breed standards?

If you're getting a blue, why be concerned about other standards? Worry more about getting the healthiest pup possible.

I agree with turbodave.... what is the importance of the other standards, when the color is a DQ? At any rate, the puppy is adorable...but regardless of color, DQ or not... I agree, the health of the puppy is the most important!

Cute pup, but I wish people would not buy pups that are not a standard color, but that's another subject. Blues, and ones who have that gene, are more susceptible to health problems than normal frenchies. I would be checking for health on these. Back to your original question, the head does change some as they grow, and the eyes and nose should get closer as they age. Pups that young will look a little off. Prime example is the pic I provided of one of our pups and her mama. You can see the pup looks a little off on the eyes and nose, but once she got a little older, she looks like her mama in the pic next to her. She is now BISS grand champion. Number one owner handled Frenchie in the Nation.

Here is a recent pic of her.
