Hi there,

Im new here and looking for some advice as google isn’t very helpful.

My 5 year old frenchie developed ear hematoma.
The very checked his ear and established it must have been due to some sort of trauma as his ears are perfect and no signs on infection

Last week Wednesday we had it drained (needle aspiration) and injected with steroids
Couple of hours after leaving vet his ear collapsed (its not a cauliflower ear tho) and its been floppy ever since
Unfortunately it filled up again so it seems like another needle aspiration must take place this week but i wonder if his ear is damaged and if anyone ever dealt with this sort of situation

Thanks

Paula

Hello @Paula em welcome to the site. I hope someone else can offer you some good advice. Glad to have you aboard!

welcome to FBN! I do not have direct experience, but there was a member here a few years back who did experience this with their girl, the ear never did stand up again once healed, but that doesn't means your girls won't. Ask the vet, as I THINK, timing of treatment is key
