Does anyone else's Frenchie eat grass and then throw up? I have read that dogs eat grass to soothe their stomachs. Jax has been eating a lot of grass lately and last night he threw up. Twice. On my bed. In the middle of the night. Ugh.

Ruggles (EB) eats grass every chance he can. He also eats flowers. He doesn't throw them up, but they give him the runs!

Jax has always been a grass eater and will usually throw up if he eats too much. I wasn't concerned about him throwing up last night because I assumed it was from the grass but he threw up 2 more times this morning.

Seija eats grass any chance she gets, but Lolly and Shrek never do. I have heard all sorts of reasons why dogs eat grass, from worms, lacking certain minerals, etc. but honestly, I think there are just some dogs who enjoy the taste. I have noticed if dogs eat only a small amount of grass they rarely vomit, but if they eat too much, up it comes. I wouldn't fret about Jax vomiting more this morning... just keep an eye on him and as long as he doesn't continue to throw up for the remainder of the day (and has a normal appetite and behavior) it should be just fine.

Cheli is like a cow grassing when i take him out.,... he never throws up. i had a Bulldog that did, it had to doe with high sensitivity to grass

Jax is better now, he probably ate too much grass, plus he is allergic to it so that probably doesn't help.

Stella does sometimes but she has a touchy stomach. I usually stop her after a couple bites because I'm pretty sure she would throw it up later.
