Hi there,

I wondered if anyone has flown from the US to the England with their French Bulldog? If so which airline did you use and what paperwork did you need? I will be over in the UK for a big chunk of time in the December due to circumstances I can't get out of and would really love to take my two French Bulldogs with us. I know a lot of airlines won't accept the breed due to breathing difficulties. Thanks!

I might be able to help a bit. I know the US is on the list of accepted countries for transit to the UK, but your Frenchies would have to travel in the cargo hold as cabin travel into the UK isn't accepted - even from within the EU.

I've attached some links from our Government website that will help you with your research.

The only other thing that I thought about is - I don't know where in the US you are, but the weather could be awful here then.... Just in case it would be their first experience of below zero, snow, ice etc. Dexter hates it!!!

Can I Bring My Dog With Me to the UK?

Hope these help a little :)

Yes. I've just done it with my frenchie. You can't fly into the U.k with a,dog in the cabin. So we had to fly to France and then take the Chunnel into England.
Check out the website DogJaunt. Great website that will give you the info you need about traveling, paperwork etc. your. Before you go, your dog needs to be microchipped, get a rabies shot and you'll need to have your vet sign a Heath certificate. Which you then have to have signed/stamped by the USDA. You'll also need to give your dogs a dewormer 1-4'days before you travel. It's NOT an easy process!
