We came to my aunts house and she has a frenchie 3 weeks older than ours... ours 16 weeks here 19 anyways ours is very calm lazy your total lap dog and hers is WILD... point to the story Iā€™m not sure if she scratched him but heā€™s doing something funky with his eye itā€™s really red and almost rolling to the upper outer corner theyā€™re both doing it but one eye more than the other... which makes me think itā€™s not a scratch because whatā€™re the odds she scraped him in both.. I have picture but in person itā€™s a lot more red in the third eyelid area just so you have an idea has anyone expirenced this?

My puppy had a similar experience with his eye - his third eyelid was basically covering half his eye and was very red and sore. We took him to the vet, because anything to do with eyes scares me! He didnā€™t have a scratch and just needed some drops to resolve the irritation. I would probably recommend taking your pup in if it doesnā€™t resolve just incase there is some sort of scratch. Good luck!!

This very thing happened to my Frenchie the first week we brought her home. She was playing rough with my other dog. According to my former vet, it's the third eyelid (cherry eye) and he gave her NeoPolyDex Opthalmic Ointment. I put it on once that night and swear to you, it was gone by the morning. It has happened two other times during rough play, and I just put the ointment on and it's gone by next day. I asked him if she needed surgery, and he said "It's not pretty to look at, but I wouldn't do surgery. Just use the ointment when it happens. "

If you are able, I'd bring your Frenchie in to the vet to check for sure.

Good luck!
