Hi everyone, got a question for you, Stella, my year and a half Frenchie had her C-section 4 weeks ago, I started to notice a few bald patches, specially in her butt area, do you think this is related to the pregnancy and/or nursing?

Sorry for the not so flattering pic,but that's where I can tell the most about the hair loss.

If this is the case, are there any vitamins I could give her? Any suggestions?

She has an AWESOME tail!!! And a really cute bottom! Sorry, I am clueless about the hair loss--could it be normal spring shedding?

jruizw sorry it took so long to respond. It is not uncommon for their coat to get raggedy after they have pups. Nursing the pups takes a lot out of them, so we always give mama extra nutrition. Give her extra kibble, some goats milk every day, about a 1/2 cup twice a day, you can even cook her an egg or two and a good multi-vitamin for dogs, like NuVet Plus, or HardyPet Complete. This should help, good luck with the pups.

Thank you very much davidh for your advice! I'll try the goat milk, she is already getting extra rations, I'll get her some of the vitamins a you are suggesting
