He went to a birthday party!

I am so lucky to live in NYC where there are so many other Frenchie owners. I joined a Frenchie meetup group, and we were invited to a 2nd birthday party... There are several "instagram famous" frenchies with over 100K followers who are in the group and made guest appearances hahaha.

Rico has been no stranger to a dog park, since it has been at the top of my list since he came home with me to make sure he was super socialized. However, being the bully that he is...he usually plays rough, too to rough for the little dogs, and he loves the big dogs but I fear for his safety of being trampled!

Anyway.... This birthday party meetup had about 50 other Frenchies, and it was AMAZING to witness Rico fall into the pecking order. He acted like a totally different dog amongst the group. I do believe now that they know their breed and can recognize others of the same breed....

It's also hilarious to be in the presence of 50 or so other frenchies... You hear them before you seen them Hahahaha.

Oh my goodness that is so awesome! Rico looks like he had fun!

I'm always so tempted to take Ell to a meetup, but I'm nervous. And also she's not spayed so I don't know if she'd be allowed in.

I'm sure they'd allow her in... You'd just need to be super careful because someone is always looking for a little action hahaha.

That is my other fear haha...that would not be good! I'll have to look into it a little more! :lmao:

But yeah, they definitely do recognize their own kind. We were driving and saw a Frenchie yesterday and when we stopped Ell was literally trying to go out the window over him! They met eyes through the window and just stared at eachother while I talked the owner for a minute. They are too funny.

Soooooo true. If I didn't witness it I'd never believe it! Crazy thing is, this party was in a public dog park... So there were about 10 other dogs there of other breeds.... Every time another dog came over to our side all the frenchies literally held that dog hostage.... Sad but hilarious lol.

We only have a "small dog meet-up" and Bambi is the only frenchie. I don't know how she would be with other frenchies, but she could not have cared less about these other dogs. She prefers people because they tend to fall all over her.

Omg that was awesome!!! Rico is sooo cute, he looked like he was having such a good time! Yes dogs do recognize their own breed. And it's great that you are socializing him. I don't see many frenchies down south, everyone has a freakin shih tzu! Lol. If Alabama had a state dog it would be a shih-tzu! [emoji23][emoji23]

It's so crazy! Some of these frenchies really "make a living" off IG! Who do you follow? They were probably there! LOL. The most "famous one" in our group is probably Oscar the Frenchie... He has like 130K followers.... Him and his dad are so nice!

That's the first Frenchie I thought of. lol! I love Oscar's pics on IG!

It would be fun to make a living off IG but it looks like a ridiculous amount of work.

Him and Kelev (the deaf one) were literally inseparable! Rico was OBSESSED with him.... Like literally OBSESSED!!! Kelev's sister was also deaf, and those two were the best behaved well mannered, docile dogs there! I loved them so much. His sister was SUPER CUTE!!! let me find a pic of her!
