Hello!

My name is Carly and I am the proud owner of Herbert, a 6 month old fawn french bulldog. Herbie is house broken, knows sit, stay, paw, lie down, and (occasionally) roll over. We're working on the come command, and drop (he will put anything in his mouth). He's currently on Natural Balance potato and duck with a tablespoon of pumpkin puree with each meal to deal with flatulence. Herbie does not have any allergies or food sensitivity at this point, but any insight into diet would be appreciated!

We are about to make a huge road trip from upstate New York to Portland, and any long term car trip advice is welcome!

Cheers!
Carly and Herbie

Hi and welcome. Your baby is a little cute. As far as the road trip, I would bring something along to chew on, and regular potty breaks. I don't travel too far, so I'm not much help in that department.

Welcome! Herbie is gorgeous!!

We have taken the dogs on many long trips and luckily they are both good in the car. Just bring some water and chewable toys and he should be fine. If he's anything like Wally he'll look out the window for a while and then sleep.

Welcome to you and Herbie! He's adorable. Jake gets car sick so we don't do long road trips.

:smileywelcome: Carly and handsome Herbie. Have a great trip! Is that Portland, Oregon?

Welcome! Herbie is a cutie! I have a black masked fawn as well.

A probiotic would be good to help with gas/digestive issues. I give Jax plain, unsweetened kefir.

Jax gets car sick so whenever he is in the car, he is near the window with it down so he gets fresh air. I also try not to take him in the car after he eats, I usually try to wait a few hours. For really long car trips, I have given him Dramamine to minimize the sickness.

We are just outside of Albany, NY :) Too bad you're moving away :(

Hi and welcome and best of luck with your cross-country trip!
