Good day peeps. Attached is a pic of my frenchie and I wasn't aware that there was something about runt in the litter until I got my frenchie. He is 2 months old. Is he too small for a 2 months old? He weighs in at around 1.5kg. Thank you.

So that's 3.3 lbs. which is quite small, but they all come in different shapes and sizes and grow at different rates. When I got Stella at 8 weeks old, she was about 4 lbs. and is 20 lbs now at almost 2 years old.

My guy wasn't quite 3 lbs at 12 weeks. He's 27 now at almost 2 years. I wouldn't worry about it! Your little guy is adorable.

My little guy was 3.3 lbs at 10 weeks.

I wouldn't worry! :)

He is adorable! If your vet isn't concerned about size, you shouldn't be concerned!

:welcome3: to FBN ..... what a precious baby!

Thank you so much guys for yr replies. I guess I worried too much. :)

Awwwwww! What a cutie!! Wally was 5.5 lbs when he was 8 weeks old and he's now 30 lbs. They come in all shapes & sizes.

OMG he is cute! I would not worry at all about the weight. Mine was a small boy too and now 20 pounds at 7 months.

He is adorable, and a little on the small side, but that's OK, they come in different sizes. He should grow into a beautiful Frenchie that will probably be around 20 - 22 pounds full grown, which is a good size.

Hello and welcome. I agree with everyone else who has chimed in (but don't apologize for worrying). As long as he has a good appetite, is active and playing he should develop normally. We had a runt who had some real issues as a puppy, who is now the biggest! The brindle pied one in the pics.

Welcome! You will be amazing at how much he will change in a year.
