Hi all, looking for some advice if possible. My male Frenchie Buddy has just turned 6 months old today We noticed recently he had a ‘lump’ in his groin area, after taking him to the vets to get it checked out, the vet informed us the lump was actually a retained testicle and advised it (and his other testicle which has moved down to its rightful place) would need to be removed. Can anybody offer any advice as to wether we should rush into this operation straight away, or give it another 2/3 months to see if it will move into the scrotum by itself? Or is there another way this movement can be helped along the way? I would prefer to exhaust all options before deciding to have the operation, as I believe a dog should be left intact unless health is at risk. Buddy’s temperament is absolutely perfect so I wouldn’t want this to change by having the operation (maybe a misguided view), unless his health was at risk.
