Hello everyone. I just signed up for this forum. I recently (two days ago) adopted a 16 month old Frenchie. He's such a lover. He's not in very good condition (we have our first vet appointment today)anyways, he's akc registered and such a ham, but his ears are floppy? It doesn't really matter to me because he's cute just that way he is. I just thought all french bulldogs ears were up straight?

OMG -- what a sweet little guy... what a face and I LOVE the floppy ears on him.

:welcome3: to FBN!

I see a bag of food there next to the crate.... not a great food for these babies, check out dogfoodadvisor.com for all the info you need to find a great food for your new baby!

Hi and welcome. He is adorable. I'm sure you will have him in tip top shape in no time.

Welcome to the forum :)

What a cutie! Usually the ears come up by themselves when they are a few weeks/couple months old. I have heard that a bad tooth/bad teeth, ear problems or a weak jaw can cause them to be floppy, but not sure how true this is.

I do agree with 2bullymama on the food. Maybe check out some other brands and compare ingredients and quality ;)

Thanks guys! He sure is sweet and I agree about the food. That's his left over food from his previous owner. My boyfriend also has a French Bulldog, so we're putting him on the same thing (blue buffalo) I'll definitely look over the list though.

P.S. We decided to name him Lincoln, and he did great at the vets. Now current on all vaccines. :)

What a cutie pie and yes the ears should stand but I have seen some that don't we even have a couple on here that don't....I think it just makes them unique and special. :) Shhh don't tell my boys I said that.

We feed the Wilderness Blue Buffalo Salmon and all my boys LOVE it....they DROOL over it! Literally.

Welcome! Your new frenchie is a cutie! And so is your boyfriends!

Thanks everyone! He's doing great! He has so much personality. We're working on a few things, not sure he's been inside full time before. He started off afraid if the tv and now he sits in front of it and watches it. So cute. Any tips on getting him to stop marking in the house?

Welcome! We feed Blue Buffalo along with home cooked. Lincoln is a cutie! Can't wait to hear more about him.

Welcome! I'm so happy you adopted him and can give him a loving home. He is really cute and how nice for him to have a furiend!

Welcome! Straight or floppy, he is a doll. Good for you for adopting this sweetie and giving him a furever home. I bet it will be one of the best decisions you have ever made. He will bring you so much joy.
