Hi new to the forum! I have an 8 month old cream Frenchie named Zoe! We are both so excited to meet new Frenchies and their parents! We are currently considering health insurance but are not sure if we should go for it or not. I have had many mixed reviews, please share your thoughts weather you have insurance for your baby!

Welcome to the forum! I love the cream colored frenchies :)

We have insurance for Banksy and we are getting another frenchie next week and will be adding her on to the policy too.

I think that we will always have it, until we are at a point in our lives where we have enough money in the bank where if something major happened we would be able to take care of it with no problems.

I have insurance for Radar. I got the wellness plan so it paid for his neuter and pays for his wellness checks, flea and heartworm medicine. I think it's worth it.

Welcome to you and Zoe! We are in Corona Del Mar, what city are you in?
My sister rescued a dog recently and I got her Trupanion insurance. The deductible is annually instead of per incident like most. I read good reviews about it so we will see. Have yet to submit a claim.

:smileywelcome: to you and Zoe! We have always self-insured our Bulldogs!

Welcome!!! Zoe is a cutie!!

I don't have insurance as I find it WAY too expensive here in Canada. I put money aside in my savings for any emergencies that may arise. I'd rather keep the money than give it all to an insurance company.

Welcome to the forum!

I have VPI insurance and got it right when we got Jax. I have a major medical plan and a wellness plan. With the plan I got, there is a $250 deductible which I have no issues with hitting as Jax has allergies. This year, the day after the policy renewed, Jax got conjunctivitis so I hit the deductible and then some. A few weeks ago, he had to have a couple skin tags removed and the whole cost got reimbursed. I also like knowing I have it should something major happen.

We have a $200 annual deductible which we covered with Banksys first eye infection he got a few months ago. And we just made another claim on him. I know we have paid more out monthly than we have gotten back but it's for just in case something major happened. We would be set back if that happened so its a piece of mind. Also knowing everything else that could happen this year will be covered which is nice...

We are with pets plus us - its a Canadian company and its $50 a month for frenchies.

Cuuuuuuute Zoe!

We have insurance for Dexter, and have had to use it frequently in his first few months as he developed allergies at 4 months old. Thankfully we took one with an 'ongoing condition' clause so there have been no problems claiming back so far.

Hi we are in laguna beach :) I'll look into trupanion!

We have 5 Frenchies and do not have health insurance on them. With that many Frenchies, it is not worth the money for us.

Welcome to FBN!! Zoe is adorable and love her name!!!!

Welcome!

We have a care credit card for medical emergencies, human & dog alike, so we didn't opt for insurance.

Hi we are in laguna beach :) I'll look into trupanion!

We are so close! Practically neighbors. Nice to see you on the forum and maybe someday we will meet. We have gone to a few meet ups at Muttropolis in Fashion Island. There are a lot at Rosie's Dog Beach in Long Beach too, but I think Stella would be completely overwhelmed and Jake gets car sick if he is in the car for long. We live close to the beach anyways and they meet friends there all the time. Good luck with the hunt for insurance.
