I haven't been on here in a while and so much has happened! We moved... still in Kelowna but in a bigger place on a farm. Dogs have been loving it so far. However aiko had to go to the emergency vet late on Sunday because of something unknown that she ate! It was terrifying.... she started twitching and stumbling and she threw up. All tests came back negative for anything they assumed it might be however there was elevated enzymes in her liver. So we have to go back next week to get more blood work done and if it's back to normal then it was in fact something she ate and if it's still abnormal then more investigation will need to be done to determine if she possibly has a liver shunt. Holy smokes what a couple days that was. She had to stay over night at the hospital. It was so scary! And I had a huge exam the next day.. such awful timing with the move and the exam my mind hasn't been able to be in the right place! I am so glad she is feeling better now and hope and pray that next week her blood test is back to normal. Hope all of you are doing well and I am excited to catch up on the threads on the forum! Banksy and aiko say hello :)

Awwww! Poor little Aiko!! :( I hope she's going to be fine soon!!! Sending lots of healing vibes and hugs to her!

Nice to hear from you and that everyone is surviving. Hope Aiko gets better soon, how are the exams going - you know we are all rooting for you. Until we Post again take care of each other - hugs and butt scratches

Poor Aiko, do you have "death cap" mushrooms on your property? We did when we lived in central Oregon and one of our EBs ate one. Fortunately we got him to the vet who induced vomiting and got it all out of his system!

So sorry she got sick, but I'm sure it is something she ate. The liver enzymes could be elevated because of her being sick and a little dehydrated. I don't put much faith in what the emergency clinics say, as they always want you to spend more money there. I took Henri to one one time when he got an upper respiratory infection from a dog show. They wanted to keep him over night because they said he had pneumonia even though he didn't have a fever. I chose to take him home that night and to just monitor him. Our regular vet called be that night and she agreed that she didn't thin he had pneumonia either and said to just watch him and take his temp every few hours. He got better a few days later. So hope your baby is back to normal soon.

What a nightmare..... Everything always seems to happen at the same time! Glad she's doing better though, and hopefully the tests will all come back fine. :)

Poor Aiko .. we went through something like this at my dad's house over the weekend.. where his puppy (not a frenchie) ate something as well.. she was really down and couldn't even stand up because of stomach pain... i don't even want to go into the scarier details (blood in stools and other stuff) also all bloodwork was fine... she is getting better now.

But i understand what you went through ... holy smokes what a feeling :) all the best to Aiko

I so hope it is just something she ate and is all good to go!
And, I hope you did well on your exam too
