Hudson got his eyelid torn apart today at dog camp :(

Soooo sorry to heat this. I have not read all the posts but I assume you called the Doggie Hotel back and cancelled your reservation and sent them the BILL for the vet visit?

Ohh I'll get some salmon today, thank you! I've had some really good luck and some not so good luck with the ground buffalo I've been making him, so I'm sure he'd appreciate the change and hopefully go crazy for it.

As far as the dog hotel goes, I understand that dogs have accidents and they get hurt. Especially 6 month old frenchies who live to play. My problem is that nobody noticed!! I saw it from 30 feet away so I'm baffled by that.

I am canceling the reservation and they are covering the vet bill and the follow up. (No way I was going to pay for that!!) Luckily there was a great bulldog vet (though not my usual bulldog vet, man are we lucky up here to have a couple) about 15 minutes from the dog hotel so we went there.

My poor mom is driving 6 hours to come watch him -- for one night. She is an angel. It was his first ever time away from me, so I got a little bit traumatized and am not trusting anyone now haha.

Poor baby! Glad to hear he is doing better. Jax goes to daycare and has been boarded a couple times and thankfully nothing like this has ever happened to him. I am surprised no one there noticed it though. A few weeks ago Jax was boarded and they ended up separating him from the other dogs because they noticed a bump on his mouth area and since they did not know what it was (it is a wart) or if it was contagious. You would think someone would have noticed a torn eye! At least they are covering the vet bill and follow up.

And I was surprised too. I am thinking I will give this place another chance. Everything else about it is beyond awesome. I think it was just a fluke. I will be calling alllll the time though. They have about 15 frenchies that come in regularly so I like that they're familiar with the breed too. We shall see... He is my baby and I just worry endlessly about him, and to have this happen his first time away from me is just scary.
