Do you allow them under the covers?

Isabelle sleeps completely under either mine or my husband's blanket (we use 2 different ones since we are both horrendous blanket hogs). She will not go to sleep unless she's burrowed under.

Eventually she wakes up and pokes her head out, and goes back to sleep.

I know it's probably not very good for her, but when she wakes up and comes out I'm assuming it's so she doesn't overheat herself. And she never seems too hot.

So... Cuddly can't resist to sleep with frenchie owners, what is your view on this?

Cheli does the exact same thing.... HAS to be under the blanket and then worms his way out shortly after, but just his face, nothing more

We don't let ours sleep in our bed, except sometimes when I am gone, Bev will let Hazel sleep in the bed with her, but she sleeps on top of the blanket. I would say if your baby gets too hot, she will come out from under the blankets, so I wouldn't worry about it.

Jax sleeps in the bed with us but on top of the blankets. And he is a total bed hog.

Looks like I'm not the only one who looks over and sees a flat little sleeping face without a body LOL.

Thanks everyone!

Both dogs sleep in their own beds in our room but on the weekends I let them snuggle with me after we all get up for a potty break. Uma goes right under the blankets and Wally likes to sleep on top of her. lol!

Q runs under the covers when I'm fluffing them up. I usually prop my arm up to give her a fort, but she climbs out after 5ish minutes. Thank goodness because my arm starts to go numb. She then squeezes in between my legs for a bit and I usually wake up to find her in her bed next to my head by morning time.

I built the below fort for her the other day and I even climbed in on my lunch break to take a quick power nap with Q.

XoXo from Quella La Roux and her mommy too!

Zeta sleeps on the cover if warm out and if it's cold she burrows under the covers and then sticks her head out when she needs to cool off

Same here with Pope! He is such a blanket hog, and he only sleeps on top of them! He insists on wiggling himself inbetween my calves and resting his head on my ankle. LOVE it, but hate that he takes the blanket off my cold feet.

Wyatt sleeps under the comforter on top of a blanket. We keep our bedroom on the cool side. I had to buy a cheap thinner comforter as he got too hot with our good one. He burrows under but by morning he is sleeping with his head out only and against me. Agreed, these guys can be bed hogs as I have found myself on the edge of the bed more than once! He started sleeping with us the first night we had him and I got up once a night to take him outside for the first few weeks. He never had an accident in the bed.

At what age did everyone let their pups sleep with them? Bisou is 8 months now but I'm worried about middle of the night accidents. She's had a couple slip ups, but since she sleeps in the kitchen it's not a big deal to either mop the floor or throw the mat in the wash. I don't want any bed accidents! We let her join us on our weekend naps, and the other night I went to bed earlier than Joel and let her come with me for a couple hours... but when is it safe to let her stay with us overnight? I want my snuggle buddy! :)

I let Jax into the bed at about 4 months. When we first got him he was confined to the kitchen at night in an Xpen with a pee pad. He had only used the pee pad a couple times during the first week he was home and then it was always dry in the mornings. One night my BF wasn't home so I brought Jax into the bed with me and he has been there ever since!

Isabelle has been with us since she came home at 8 weeks old. She's only had 2 accidents in the bed and she's 8 months now.

I guess it varies for every dog but it was easier for us to treat her like a newborn that needed fed every 2 hours (except this was going potty)...

Now she wakes us up in the morning about 10 (same time our 3 year old wakes up).

She's on a pretty predictable routine since she's been doing it since she was 8 weeks.

But at first she was on her own square bed mat? It wasn't very thick, but if a baby puppy peed on it it wouldn't have soaked through.
