Is this normal for them to play?? Here’s the younger female one biting the older male’s foot.
Is that the way they play???

Thanks.....

Oh yeah. Totally normal. When Jax and Louie (bulldog) play, Louie always goes straight for his legs and feet to bite.

Lol haha. I thought they only bite each other’s face only :p

Who wouldn't want to bite that delicious turkey leg!? :haha:

I would save this pic and enter it in the next Thanksgiving photo contest, seriously. It is adorable.

They are beautiful frenchies!

LOL...LOL... typical Frenchie wrestling maneuver

Yep, as others have said this is totally normal. They love to bite the side of their faces, neck, and rear legs.

Idk... this seems painful and intense to me..he didn’t yelp.. but their pain tolerance is pretty high I guess...

Should I stop them when she bites his leg?? :’(

Should I help him to do wound dressing??

Thanks :’(

How old is your female, and how long ago did you add her to the family?

I wouldn't tend to intervene too much - I'd think your older male would tell her when it's too rough.

She will be 6 month on 10th.
We just had her for a week.

My male one is too gentle. He seems relying on me for protection. He didn’t growl or warn her at all.

When it gets so they are causing harm, as in your case, I stop the play and try to redirect. We have had pups who would bite the necks of the adults in play and their necks would get sore spots on them. When that happens we would stop the play and try to tell them NO and try to redirect the play. It is hard as they love to bite.

my dog will be 6 months in 3 weeks but They sure do grow up way too fast!
