Itchy feet?

Hi all,

Need some advice for an itchy Frenchie.

Reggie is 2 years old and the past couple of days his feet have
Been driving him crazy with itching. It seems to be his back feet only.
His food or surroundings haven't changed.
Today it hasn't bothered him all day, but he's started itching again this evening and it's
Keeping him awake at night, so I have a grumpy boy on my hands!

Any ways people recommend to help him?

Are they a rusty color at all? If so, that would mean yeast and you can do an iodine paw soak. Get some povidone iodine, dilute with water until the color of iced tea and then soak paws for 5 minutes. You can do this every day.

It's interesting that it's just his back paws. Have you checked to make sure there is not some sort of object stuck that his irritating his paws?

You can also shampoo the paws with an antibacterial/antifungal shampoo like ketohex or curaseb, leave on for 5-10 minutes then rinse off.

Just the rear feet is puzzling, does he scratch the ground a lot to spread his scent after peeing and pooping? Maybe he is exposing himself to something then.
