Mr busybody

First off. I am impressed. What a smart guy to push chairs around for his adventures. Radar has not figured that one out and I am so very thankful. I am lucky though, he is VERY food motivated. When he tries to play keep away with something he is not supposed to have (typically my bra, don't ask...) I can distract him with a treat, he has mellowed with age and I haven't fed into the game. If he grabs something I don't engage, no chasing, no yelling, no grabbing. I go for a treat and he wanders away from the ill gotten item. But once again, he is treat motivated, I don't know how that works with a puppy that isn't.

LOLOL I think every dog owner has come home to 'snow'. And by that I mean either paper towel or an entire 24-pack of toilet paper (in my case!) shredded to smithereens! :D

Just out of curiosity, how long does it take for Isa to give up and let go of the stolen item? And how do you eventually get it out?

I'm running out of strength before this little bugger caves. Like with the tape roll situation, I tried to pry it out for good 45 mins with no luck. I tried the soft approach and then strong commands, but those jaws just stays shut!

Also I have to first catch him and if he manages to slip from my grip...around and around we go again...not really the kind of exercise I'm after. Like yesterday I managed to hold the grip for 45 mins after my hands started to shake and I had to give up :whew:

Apparently this mama is not really in charge in this household...

Isabelle usually (if she has something) is 10 minutes tops. She knows when I yell THATS IT and slap my thigh she better roll onto her side. Literally ANYTHING she is doing is dropped and she's laying down.

I'll try to get it on video for you later! Lol!

She also locks her jaws with things so if I didn't have that command trained so well? I'd be doomed. She also runs away when I try to catch her, so really that command is my life saver.

Looks like he had a blast amusing himself. :)

Thanks! Sounds so familiar :P except mine wont take any commands...must really work on that!
