We keep her crated and take her outside and for walks but she continues to mark my sitting room area. I haven't been able to catch her. The marking is brownish. Any suggestions?

I'm cleaning up 14 spots!!

I'm assuming this is voluntary, and not involuntary leakage or a UTI? If it's involuntary after spaying you can give her phenylpropanolamine syrup. If it's voluntary I would spay her to start with if she isn't spayed.

I read this on the net and it makes sense:
The solution is to start over again as if she is an 8 week old puppy and train her.
Do not let her loose in the house, at all right now. This retraining period may take several weeks. During this time, get your carpets cleaned. Do not give her access to the carpets. Confine her in a crate or in a small room with a hard floor. Give her freedom in the house only in small steps.
Other ways:
Watch her intensely for a couple a weeks. You can either try a collar that sprays her with an unpleasant substance with a remote control that you activate if you catch her in the act . Or fill a can with coins and shake it when she starts to pee.

Great advice!

Like Honeys Owners said, it is back to square 1 with the potty training. She needs to earn the right to roam free in your house! Good luck to you!

Thank you! I think it's voluntary. I've had many trips to vet to check on uti's But all negative.

I never see her do it. I think she gets mad when I leave the house without her. My husband and boys are still home in the morning and she's out. When they leave she's crated.

It's back to potty training! Thanks everyone!

I would definitely block off that area from her, and any other place in the house she doesn't need to go. Sounds like she is marking, as they will do, and Frenchies can be bad about it. We have our house blocked off from ours, just to keep them out of trouble. Plus I would not give her any meds unless you consult with your vet first.
