Hi All,

I'm considering switching breeders. My wife and I are looking for a fawn female french bulldog puppy and the breeder below has one.

They are asking $3500 and have given me the answers below:

Do you expect the pups to be average size, below average, or above average?
Answer: Average

What do the parents weight?
Answer: Sire 21 pounds, dam 23 pounds

When would we be able to bring one home?
Answer: 8 weeks old

Do you show your french bulldogs?
Answer: No

What is the temperament of the parents?
Answer: Lovable

Any health issues (hip dysplasia, thyroid issues, heart murmurs, skin issue, etc...) in the parent or grand parents?
Answer: No

Do you take back your dogs if something did happen where I couldn't keep her?
Answer: Yes

What type of build do you expect from these puppies?
Answer: Sturdy, compact, stocky

The breeder that I have now shows her dogs; however, unfortunately we are not able to get the fawn female. I feel there is a lot of gray area here so I am hoping someone can give me some advice.

Thanks

Are you able to meet the parents and the pup before purchase?

Have they had other litters? If yes, get info for references. If at all possible go see the pups, visit the kennel, visit the mom and dad. Are they healthy, happy, socialized? If you currently have a breeder you like and trust could you wait until they have dark fawn female for sale?

The pup will probably be on the small size as the sire and dam are on the small size. 21 pounds for a sire is pretty small. I agree with others, go visit the kennel and see how it is and what kind of feeling you get from them. Any bad feeling in your gut, go with it and leave. The pup is a cutie pie, and will be hard to walk away from. :)

She's so cute and they answered the questions well! Are you going to go see her?
