On a positive note...

Approaching day 4 of wind and rain with this Tropical Storm/Hurricane Florence. I work in the public school system and for the public libraries which have both been closed since Thursday. Can't say that I'm not absolutely LOVING all this extra time snuggling Daphne. She comes to find me where ever I am and loves to be on me. I am enjoying all this extra time with her these last three days. If I'm going to find a positive in this, that is definitely going to be it!

Thanks for the well wishes, everyone. I just got a text that school is closed tomorrow too. Ugh. It just will NOT stop raining. Our rivers and other waterways are overflowing, creating flooding in a lot of low areas. More snuggles tomorrow I guess

I am so sorry you are in the thick of things with Florence. I've seen the pictures -- unbelievable. Glad you have such a sweetheart to comfort you. She is just adorable. I love the spot right on top of her head.

How are you faring FroxerMom? We've started to get the remnants of Florence in Maryland. I'm hoping that means it has started to move away from NC.

Thanks so much [MENTION=3106]GraciesMom[/MENTION] - we really were lucky (those who live near Raleigh) as we just got some wind and lots of rain. The folks at the beach and lower lying areas are still not able to get back to assess damage, etc...I think the interstate that was flooded, just cleared recently. I appreciate your thoughts and well wishes!! I hope you were not hit too badly in Maryland. I'm also hoping this is it for everyone this hurricane season. Cannot imagine another one coming through at this point.

I have been through a lot of bad snow storms here in South Dakota, but never a hurricane! We followed Florence on the news and feel so bad for everyone involved over there. Glad to hear you fared well! We love any extra bonus time to hang out with Finnley!! I am sure Daphne loved the extra time with you! We have Finn's sweaters out for winter already!!

Really glad to hear it FroxerMom! Watching from afar, the devastation shown on the news and in photos was incredible. We didn't get much in MD and considered ourselves lucky. I certainly echo your wish that Florence is it for the year.

EEk, yes. the snow. We DO get snow here from time to time but nothing like SD, I imagine. We do not have the salt, plows, or other equipment to handle when it snows here, so basically when it does, the entire place shuts down. As soon as 1 snowflake falls, it's over ;-)

I'm currently on etsy deciding which winter hats to buy for Daph. Looking forward to seeing Finnley in some stylish sweaters. Post pics please!
