Wow, my life has been super busy.
But I can finally show you guys some pictures of my new puppy.
His name is Hector von Bismarck. He was born on April 18th and I picked him up in Germany at the beginning of July.
I was super nervous about the flights, but he was an absolute champ and didnt cry once. He slept through most of it. I took him to the lavatory twice ,which was quite the situation being cramped in there with a puppy, his carrier and a pee pad, trying to make him go . Haha.
Once we landed in Canada, they had to check his paper and I had to pay some fees(tax etc), but other then that it was all very, very laid back. Everybody at the airport(s) loved him and it was just a great experience.
But Im also very lucky to have picked this puppy, because he has been so good and calm.
They are very dog friendly in Europe, so I was able to bring him and expose him to different things such as inside of restaurants, being on a train, the bus, the mall etc. The very first time I took him to a busy main station, he fell asleep on my purse while waiting for a friend.
I assumed Maple would be over the moon with excitement, but at first she wasnt sure about him at all. Whenever he wanted to cuddle or play with her, she would get up and walk away. It really broke my heart. BUT now she has been warming up to him and I saw them cuddling and playing a few times. I am sooo glad.
Im excited to see how he will turn out. He came in at 9.4lb at 13 weeks
Anyway, here are some pictures now.
