Hey guys, my frenchie has had extreme diarrhea for almost 2 months now. My vet has done 20 different tests and gave me 20 different meds but nothing had changed. She recently gave me prednisone but it seems like it got worse. I got home today and his belly felt like it had fluid in it and he was just pooping water basically. There isn't any vets around that special in bulldogs. So if anyone can help please do!!!!

Common questions are what food - Quantity and Brand?
What supplements, oils, vitamins is being given?

What test were run, assume this was for parasites and worms minimum?

Volume of food, bad food and lack of other supplements.
Meds and just need to reset digestion, Fast for a couple days, reset with bland chicken, rice and etc...

Frenchies are known for sensitive stomachs or at least picky eaters.

Agree with all above. Assuming vet has ruled out colitis, pancreatitis, swallowed objects, parasites etc, it may be a simple cure with diet. Try the bland diet of boiled turkey and rice or egg noodles for a few days and see if diarrhea gets better. If so, try switching to a low allergy grain free non chicken kibble like Acana duck and pear, Zignature venison, or better yet to a limited ingredient dehydrated raw like Honest Kitchen Spruce. You can also firm up stools with 1 tsp per day of soaked chia seeds, or 1 tablespoon a day of canned pumpkin ( not the pie filling one ) since chia seeds and pumpkin are good for both constipation and diarrhea; or 1 tsp a day of food grade diatomaceous earth. Also add some probiotic eg. a doggy probiotic such as Proviable DC, or live sauerkraut from refrigerator section of health food store.

I would have to look at the paper work from the vet to tell you the exact tests but I know she tested for parasites, worms, blood test and tested his pancreas. She did 10 different tests and gave him 3 different kinds of antibiotics plus other stuff. But he does have a sensitive stomach. He is eating taste of the wild 70/30 dry to wet. He takes probiotics everyday. I will try to reset his diet with the bland diet. Should I take him to another vet?

Antibiotics can really mess them up. I would probably start over with a bland diet for a week or so, continue the probiotic and add in pumpkin. He may just need to get back on track. I would probably also switch to a different brand of food, something with limited ingredients.

I agree with the previous comments. We feed Natures Variety Instinct Limited Ingredient Turkey and have nice logs! I'd feed the bland diet, small portions several times a day and very gradually add a limited ingredient kibble. I hope that works for your baby!

In my raw feeding groups, I've heard a lot of people say they use olewo carrots for diarrhea. However, I really think you also need to focus on building up your pup's immune system. I'm sure it is a complete mess after all those antibiotics and other meds.

How old is your puppy and at what age did all this start?

He is 5 but he never had diarrhea longer then a day until about 3 months ago. Now it's terrible I know his little bum has to be sore. I talked to my vet again yesterday and she is running another fecal pathogen test for stuff that isn't common. But I will definitely try to LID diet. I started him on a bland chicken with rice this morning.

What probiotics and immune boosters do you recommend? My vet is bias towards the brands they use and theh don't do great with my pup.

I'm so sorry; that is a terrible worry. We are going through it right now. Good luck. I have picked up a few things after reading the responses to your post.
