In the past I've used the meal mixers to get Rico to eat his kibble and it generally works (well as well as it can given his ultra pickiness).

He prefers the beef if any. I thought, maybe let me try the actual Stella & Chewy's beef dinner patties....maybe he would like it.

I purchased a bag, and began comparing the ingredients and nutritional analysis of the patties to the meal mixers. I was shocked to see that it's exactly the same. Is this true? What if any are the differences in the two aside from the actual size of the portion?

yep --- all the same ingredients... just one is a topper and the other are full meal patty. I used the patties for awhile, but it was just too darn expensive with having two bulldogs and Lambeau would almost get a bag every few days.

I use the toppers as hgh value treats, which are basically CRACK to my guys -- they sit and stare at the bag PRAYING it will magically open and spill to the floor

So I basically did a cost analysis.... if you buy the largest size of both bags, the cost per ounce is:

$1.76/oz. patties
$1.99/oz. topper

It is indeed very expensive!

We have used the freeze dried patties to use as a topper for Henri when he was a picky eater. It's good food, so if you pup does well on it, I don't see anything wrong with it, just a little expensive. Now that Henri is older, he eats like crazy with no topper.
