Hi to all! We've been busy so haven't been posting much, but I started wondering something today.

Is it normal for a female Frenchie to be almost one year and not have gone into her first heat yet? She is going to turn one in August and still nothing.

davidh should be able to help you out with that question.

I heard as late as 8 months, but a full year might not be normal. I tagged david and lisa --- hopefully, they will be along soon

I have never seen one go that long, but she could have had a very light heat, and you may not have noticed. If that's the case, then the next one usually is a heavy heat.

Thank you all. I sort of had the same thought because I was reading that they can be silent. She seems to be quite healthy, and everything else for her has happened normally. Sorry for so many questions! :D

@Nicole G never apologize for asking questions, that's what we are here for, and how we all learn. :)

It really is much appreciated though! Most forums are not overly kind, so thank you all. :) I've found a lot of the pet forums I've noticed have been very judge-y.

Don't be sorry for questions!!! Ask as many as you can think of! It's what keeps the forum going and gives all us frenchie addicts something to talk about!!

Really!? This is the first and only forum I've ever joined.
Ignore the haters. Unhappy people always have negative things to say. Since I joined this forum last year I have won the award for being the person who talks the most each month more times than I care to admit LOL I've asked millions of questions. Everyone here is so helpful 😊

I was a part of a Boston Terrier forum and it turned into massive heated arguments about whether or not certain BTs were full bred or mixed so I deleted my account. I haven't experienced any negativity here at all. Good group of Frenchie lovers here. :)

We work hard to not allow FBN to be that way... First sign of drama and the account is given a warning second time the account is blocked.

We want to maintain a good environment for helping, supporting, exchanging information and experience as well as fun and loving on the babies!

All about the Frenchie!!

I wouldn't be on a forum that is negative, argumentative or judgey so that's why I'm still here:)

As Christine 2bullymama said, we don't allow it, we want everyone to feel welcome here with no judgement. We are family here. :)

I agree with how kind and helpful this forum is and I love the amount of information that is on here. I am part of some of the Facebook French Bulldog groups, but will never post questions there. The people on those groups can be really rude. I do love seeing the Frenchies, and they have some good information, but this is where I go for questions and support.
