My brother and his family brought home a new yellow lab puppy last weekend. She is a beauty. 8 weeks old and 16 lbs. I can't wait to have her play with Pierce and let him see that there are dogs that weigh more than 12 lbs in this little world of his.
This puppy, Lily, is so different than Pierce. She is a chewer. And so high energy. But, she is a cuddler. Pierce cuddles-when he is ready to sleep!
One day last week my sister-in-law asked my daughter how we disciplined Pierce. Meghan said she stopped and thought for a minute and realized we rarely had to! It is usually just a stern "No" from us that he gets.
I am so glad we have our laid back Frenchie. He may have his moments, but overall,he has made having a puppy much easier than I ever expected.

You are really lucky to have such a great pup! I bet he and Lily will have a blast together. :)

I agree! Tallulah is the 6th puppy my husband & I have owned since married & by far the most easy going & best puppy. Besides the house breaking which has been challenging ( we are making great progress, but still nit quite there yet) she really is a great puppy. What amazes me is her ability to entertain herself & how she will just go to her bed to nap until someone is ready to play. Puppies are a lot of work, but she makes it so much easier. Glad to hear that you are experiencing some of the same. Gotta love these little guys!

Labs do love to chew on everything. It's good Piece has a buddy to play with, and he sounds like our Frenchies, laid back and all I have to do is either make the Ackk sound or a stern NO and that's it.

Pierce is a good one, Buster entertains himself really well, too. Our potty training was pretty easy because we have a pet door and an older dog for him to follow!

Yes... very different worlds - Labs need lots of training and energy release.... I am tired just thinking of what they will be going through

Wow don't I wish, we have had several different kind of breeds and Chance is the most challenging one thus far perhaps being half English has something to do with it There is no doubt in my mind he is far more stubborn, singIe minded, forgetfuI than any other dog we have had - excuse me as I put him into a time out again UGHH

Isa is also such a laid back pup!

She has her moments? But I was so afraid to own a puppy.

I'm still constantly being so harsh on myself with her training, and telling myself I'm doing things wrong, but I have dog training books, and I do the best I can.

I wish I could walk her more, but my neighbors are... Let's just say... Horrible.

And they have 2 very, very large pitbulls that I wouldn't trust if they were on tow chains cemented into the foundation of the house.

They also have a sweet, kind, runaway pup, who I wouldn't mind Isabelle being friends with, but it's my neighbors in general I can't trust.

So nice that Pierce will have a play mate!

Wally is NOT laid back. I blame our Boston who is very high energy. She goes non-stop and Wally just follows her lead. I am glad she's the alpha because I can't have Wally make the decisions for the 2 of them. :D
