Say hi to Cali, my new foster! She's a petite, almost 3 year old, little cutie pie. Right now she weighs only 17 pounds, but she is thin and needs to gain some weight.

She had a history of rectal prolapse and she prolapsed again in my care, so off to the surgeon we went. Two days ago Cali had surgery to open her airway (nose and palate), laparoscopic colon tacking, and endoscopic upper and lower GI biopsies and cultures to check for IBD (inflammatory bowel disease). We've already run an extensive allergy test to determine what she's allergic to so we can avoid those allergens.

Cali is not feeling too well after her 2-hour long surgery, but she is recuperating. Once we have the result of her biopsy, then we will know what our next step is.

Cali's vet care has cost thousands of dollars already, so if anyone is interested in sponsoring her with a donation, please check out her page at the rescue.

Welcome Cali!

Sweet baby girl ❤️❤️❤️. Sending prayers fir a quick recovery .

Please post her rescue page link so those that want to help can.

The rectal prolapse is what Cheli had when his owner surrender him ... He was so tiny and thin [emoji20]

What a cutie! How does she get along with the boys?

We practice slow introductions here, and now she must be kept separated during her surgical recovery. She takes cues from the boys- if they are relaxed, then she is; and if they're agitated, she is, too.

Oh, she is so sweet! I hope she gets better soon. God bless you and your frenchie family. :luv:

Oh what a sweet angel she is. Hope she feels better soon and thanks for taking her in.

Good luck with the recovery to sweet Cali. She is really skinny in one pic but seems to have gained quite a bit of weight in other photos

Awww, what a sweetie! She is so thin! I'm glad she had you to look out for her while she recovers and builds up some strength.

Aw! I love her little (big) head!

Feel better little cutie so you can find your balance and find your furever home!
