Hi all, was hoping for some advice on how to calculate the right amount of kibble to give my 7 month old male frenchie. The Blue Buffalo bag suggests 2 cups per day. My boy is 23 pounds. Worried between training treats and the increase in kibble, he'll be overweight, but I obviously don't want to starve him. Does this sound right to you guys?

Thanks in advance for any feedback!

I'd feed a cup for breakfast and then a cup for dinner. If he gains too much weight too fast cut back to 3/4 cup each feeding.

Yep, I agree with the 1 cup twice a day, but if you are giving training treats too, then you might want to cut back on the kibble some, so he does not become over weight. You can judge how he is doing by feeling him, if you can easily feel or see his ribs, then feed just a little more ,and if you can not feel his ribs with light to medium pressure, then feed a little less.
