Hey everyone,

So Kali is really not making my life easy over here. Ella has been so good with her and she loves being a big sister, but she's getting so nervous around Kali and no longer wants to play with her due to Kali's aggression issues. I have never met a Frenchie with such a cranky disposition as her, and am pretty annoyed at her breeder that I ended up with one.:(

I have tried everything from raising my voice a little to quietly picking her up and putting her in a time out; nothing seems to get through to her. She actually almost bit my father who came over to see her yesterday, and raised her teeth and hair to Ella when Ella was walking past. She gets so incredibly snippy and nasty towards Ella when Ella is playing with her that I literally went over to her and had to grab her away from Ella yesterday because she was flat out bullying her. She's very different than I expected, and as a Frenchie lover, I hate to even say this, but I don't particularly like her personality overly much. I love her (don't get me wrong) but I don't like the way she acts.

The other thing is - she's always (and I mean ALWAYS) hungry. To the point that if I go near the kitchen, she fixates and screams to no end. I can't make her stop screaming, either. It's more than just typical puppy behavior, too. I know how much trouble they can be, and I actually enjoy it, but this one seems like a bit more than I ever had before!

I really don't know what I got myself into here. Ugh!!!:hissycry: I'm thinking of getting in contact with a trainer.

I agree, a trainer may just be the help you need.

Definitly get a trainer... in home, the issue is within the home so make sure they come to you and sessions happen within the house.

best of luck

Yup, agree with the other to get a trainer! They may help you identify some things you may not even be noticing in their behaviors before things escalate. Good luck to you!

Agree with a trainer.

Has she had any lab work? The excessive hunger (although all Frenchies are have this) and crabby behavior is concerning. Any other symptoms such as excessive urination, thirst, weight loss? I ask because she may have a form of diabetes. I would have a thorough check up with the vet to rule out any health issue.

Also thyroid. Many breeds have hyperthroid which can cause this. I've worked with a few different dogs with these symptoms and I always them check the thyroid.
