Ok so the last 10lb bag I had, had about 1 1/2” of what appeared to be pulverized kibble at the bottom. I thought “ok... damaged in shipping”.

Bag I got today (I open it up and portion it into weekly servings vacuum sealed), has these odd shapes extruded, and seems to be extra heavily coated/dusty.

Anyone experiencing this?

It’s the chicken flavor.

I would definitely give them a call.

It does look odd. Definitely contact them to see what's up with their food.

So here is what I received. Side note: it’s really my pet peeve when a company says “As a one time courtesy”. Customer service is a dying art especially in the online shopping era, and to me I think it’s better to just say “We want to make it right”. Just a small rant. Hahaha.

There seems to be quite a trend to have regular extruded dog kibble with some freeze dried raw mixed in eg. Nutrience SubZero, Nature Variety's Instinct Raw Boost, and this one of course. My dog had a lot of allergies and I tried the Nutrience SubZero but she didn't seem to get better till I went all in with raw.

the Stella and Chewys kibble is baked, which is why that piece looks like that.

I don't personally believe there's any health differences between baked or extruded dog foods, so I tend to lump them together.

Call me naive but ... If it’s not extruded (baked or not) how is it formed? I can’t imagine Stella and chewy are two workers rolling kibble like meatballs over there.... hahaha

Maybe it's rolled out and them cut or stamped out (?).
