Can’t seem to find much on the issue. Again, it only happens when he gets really worked up. It returns to normal once he calms down.

It can happen... it could become cherry eye, try human eye drops lol take to vet for some ointment to help

This is EXACTLY what happened several times to my girl when we first adopted her. Vet trip and he gave me NeoPolyDex Ophthalmic Ointment. He told me it could take a few days to work, it took like 30 minutes. I only had to use it a few times when she would play rough.

Thank you! Should be able to get him in tomorrow. Was worried about Cherry Eye. Was even more worried that I couldn’t find a lot on the condition

My old vet (the one that gave me the NeoPolyDex) said that this COULD turn into cherry eye but that he would not recommend surgery as he felt it was more of a cosmetic thing that bothered the owners and didn't really affect the dog. Thankfully she only had this happen two or three times and then never again.

How did the appointment go?

Surprisingly, the vet didn’t have much to say about it. I’ve been trying to use Banfield at Petsmart for the insurance but so far I’m not impressed. Some are quick to call it Cherry Eye but it comes and goes. I can’t find anything else on it.

I mentioned the NeoPolyDex and he knew what it was. But didn’t think it would take care of it. And just handed me some things he printed out from the internet

Banfield is not the best vet to take a Frenchie. You want a vet experienced with bulldogs.

Yikes! So did the inflamation go away on its own then or does your dog still have it?

I love having this NeoPolyDex on hand. I'm not kidding, it resolved the condition in minutes and she has not had another flare up in like two years. Maybe get a second opinion??
