For anyone still interested...

Titan had a vet appt today for his next puppy shots and an ear cleaning.

He is 11.8 lbs! He was a mere 2.6 lbs when we started this journey! This is more than amazing!

The vet still says that he's going to to be small. She doesn't think he'll grow into much of his skin at all even with the progress He's made.

Oh that's awesome. How old is he now?

5 months!
He was 10 weeks when we got him.

He should have been almost what he weighs now when we got him. It's taken quite a bit of catching up.

11.8 pounds! Go Titan! He really has grown. Still a little fellow though. I seriously cannot believe he is 5 months old now. I swear it seems like he should be like 3 months.

Good job, Jessica and of course Titan! That is awesome news!

Exactly! He was like a newborn when we got him! But he was already 10 weeks! He's barely caught up!

WOW.... he is really coming along great --- excellent news!

Fantastic news!! He sure looks like one healthy & happy pup!! I can't believe he's already 5 months old. Wow.

Great news! Small is ok as long as he continues to stay healthy. He's about the size T was at the same age. I remember her being about 13 pounds at 6 months. She only grew to 16 pounds by a year, but that's ok. Pint size frenchies are the cutest things and get all the attention at the doggie parks, lol. Keep up updated on the little guys progress, I love hearing about him.

Yep he's 11.8 at 5 months.

The vet is a show breeder of frenchies, so she's been around the block a few times, she's convinced he will not even reach Isabelle's size... She's only 19.9 lbs at a year old.

But bad news... Giardia is back... *screams*

5 days of strong meds, then strong meds again May 1st.

Pray for us this works this time! Ugh!

At least he is pooping solid and eating and drinking & growing despite this disgusting parasite!

The vet is even shocked to see such a number come back after seeing him in person yesterday and how far has he came!

So sorry to hear the Giardia is back, poor baby. He is going to be on the small size, but he has made some good progress. Plus he should be finished with his puppy shots by now, unless he didn't get to take them when he was younger. When we do puppy shots on our pups, they are done with the last ones at 12 weeks of age and don't need any until their one year checkup.

He was not allowed to get any because his immune system was already compromised...

From what I know this is only his 3rd set... I think he may be done until November? I do believe he's finished for now... She was pushing the limits with waiting as long as she did but then became uncomfortable because she was nervous he would end up with something worse. Luckily he did not, but this giardia will not leave us alone.

4th round of meds. Someone at the office told us it took 6 rounds for their puppy. This is 4, and 5 starts May 1st, so I hope these kick its butt!

He may end up being average size... you never know! He's not much smaller than Bisou was at his age and she's 21 lbs now at a year old. Regardless, small is fine as long as he's healthy! He looks like a happy little guy. So happy to hear he's doing better, and I hope this bout with giardia is eliminated with just one round of treatment this time :)

Hudson wasn't quite 11 pounds at 6 months and now he's a behemoth! You never know! So glad to hear he's progressing and doing better, but wish that dang giardia would do away!

I don't mind if he never grows! Isabelle is my little baby so if he's small I would be happy... His dad wasn't small at all though!

Tell me about it! It's driving me bananas!

That's great news! So glad Titan is doing well (minus the giardia).

Our two pups were 3 lbs when we got them at 8 wks, and after their vet check/boosters today, they weigh 10.5 lbs at 4 months! Our pups were the two smallest of the litter, too, so hard to say how much they'll catch up.

I'm not 100% familiar with Frenchies and their growth rates, but if they're similar to pugs, males don't completely fill out until 2 years of age. At a certain age (I can't remember what now) they'll reach their full height, but at 2 years they'll reach their full girth.

So at 5 months, I'm *sure* Titan still has some growing to do. ;) He's gorgeous!
