OK so I do a lot of traveling (used to be year round but now it's just during the summer and school breaks)...so I'm looking for something like a dog "car seat". I've been looking around online and everything I find looks too small or too big for my front seat. I need something big enough for my Frenchie Maggie and my little Yorkie Scout. I can't use my backseat because I don't have a bench seat and my kids use the 2 individual back seats and I have to take my 3rd row seating out to fit all my luggage and stuff and I dont have enough room to fit Maggies HUGE kennel! Her kennel is actually for a dog much bigger than her..Anyway..does anyone have any experience with these? Are they worth the $$$ or would a seat belt harness with a doggie bed in the seat be just as good?

Quella has the below seat that I bought at Sports Authority. I had a gift card to their store and after month's of being undecisive and not buying anything, I decided to buy the booster seat for Q. It's not the nicest and I don't know what I'd compare it to in order to be able to say what could make it better. Overall, it boosts Q up so she can see while I drive. It's got 2 straps that can be hooked to 2 pets or both to one harness. The straps are cheap and I don't know if they do that so they can be broken in a car accident or if they're just flimsy. I have an Expedition and when I close the front or back doors, it squishes in because it's so wide and I have to tell Q to back up so she doesn't get whiplash from the door closing. It does not fit in my Jeep Wrangler, so I have to figure out some other seating for her in that vehicle. All in all, it serves it's purpose and I'm content with it for now.

First off...how stinking cute is she! Love her color! :) I do like the fact it lifts them up so they can see...do you think it would be big enough for 2 to lay down in? Maggie weights around 25 or so pounds, maybe a little less and scout is around 5 pounds. I found one I really like but it has to be put on a bench seat so that's a no go.

I don't have much to add other than I want a booster seat! Bisou just rides in her bed that fits perfectly in the front seat, but she really only takes 10-15 minute rides a couple times a week to work with me. When we take longer rides to visit my parents a few hours away, she sits on my lap. Hope you can find something that works!! I'll be stalking this thread for boosters ;)

I also got a booster seat for Radar. He's really big and fits comfortably in it. We took a long drive for Xmas and he had no issues and stayed in it the entire time. It fits my front seat perfectly and I have an Infiniti coupe. I bought it through In the Company of Dogs online and absolutely love it. It was totally worth it.

We use either a crate or sometimes put them in the seat with a harness. I like the seats that some of you have, very nice.

I had a booster seat for Hudson but he hated it because he couldn't sprawl out in it when he laid down. Now I have a big cover that attaches to the headrests of the front seats and the back seats (it eliminates the crack between the back seat and front seat) and I put a big bed back there. He's much happier back there than in a booster seat in the front.
