He can do it! Finally! He knows the "up" command and can fulfill it slowly and stable!

So far he knows "come" "sit" and "up", working on "lay down"... He'll get there!

But I'm so proud of my little guy!

I can't believe he knows commands. I was afraid he wouldn't know anything since he's deaf, and had such a rough start. But here he is! Learning!

Haha thank you! Isabelle does her tricks extremely well, and will even stop to do hers when we have company over and she's in crazy-mode! Which is shocking! I'm constantly going over the trick list and reinforcing with treats!

I hope Titan learns his "lay down" command soon! He's getting closer... Also working on his "spin" command! It's SO cute but he doesn't even begin to do it unless I have him follow the treat. Isabelle does it on command finally.

I think it may be easier to train the deaf one. There is no repetition of words which sometimes the dog gets trained into "sit sit sit sit sit " finally sits as opposed to *hand signal* -> sit and wait for what to do next. No distractions, etc. Its a challenge but I thought it would be worse! Haha!

I mean i doubt any of us here get sucked into the sit sit sit as mentioned above but my husband sometimes forgets with Isabelle, and will say it a couple times. So we mostly use hand signals with "sit" for her too. And "get in there" when she's in a room, also has a hand signal that goes without warning Titan is learning it too.

Deaf or hearing, both humans/animals will understand signs. I know plenty of deaf people who have hearing pets, and the pets understand ASL just fine! It's awesome. :heart:

Yes! Isabelle knows most of Titan's commands too. She's catching on. i think it's a great thing!
