Here in Vancouver we have a lot of rain and chance does not like to go out in the rain and will not let us put a rain jacket on him.
Took him out and he stuck to the side of the building and quickly did his business, at least most of his business.
About 20 minutes later my husbear says Chance is peeing in the bath tub, could not scold him but the husbear praised him.
Would you praise, ignore or scold in this situation :walk:

If you take him out and he doesn't do "all" of his business and you think he needs to, you can put him right back in his crate then take him out again 30 min or so later and try again. I guess it's good that he went in the bathtub instead of on the floor, but it's still not where you want him to go. I would have said "no" in a firm voice and took him back out.

I'm in the Seattle area so I know all about rain! Luckily Jax doesn't mind doing his business when it is raining. If you do not want Chance going in the bathtub, which I assume you don't, then don't praise it and don't ignore it. You don't want him thinking its okay.

Ours don't like going in the rain either. But at least your boy went to the bathtub to pee instead of the floor. I would not praise nor scold him for it.

ignore..... not a good or bad thing, but definitely do not want him thinking it is OK to do.

BTW,,, Chelis is EXACTLY the same way. Rain is a no-no for him

My dogs don't like the rain either but I make them go. Wally doesn't care much but Uma acts like I'm beating her up.

Next time you catch Chance in the act treat it as if he was peeing on the rug and make him go outside. He has to get used to going in the rain.

Well looks like typical Vancouver fall weather I will be taking him out for a long walk in the rain - wish us luck - I personally love the rain and wind

Hudson refuses to go out in the rain or the cold. I never thought I'd be "that person" (lol) but he wears a down vest with a hood. He just got his for this season today (even though it's still 100 degrees here). We have no issues as long as he's wearing the vest. Last winter he was an XXS and this one is a large and barely fits [emoji27]
