The two most frequently used nicknames for Jax is Boogers and Stinkers.

Gidget is Gidgi-Mo-Mo or sometimes just Mo-mo

Olivia is Livvy

Wilson is Bubby, Bubba, the shuffler, Big Wil, Lil Wil, it goes on and on.....

Well Maple is actually supposed to be Maple Leaf (of Autumn), so technically Maple is already the short form.
However even Maple is sometimes too long and I call her either Maps or Map. Sometimes I call her Mapple or pups(or pupsi),which is a german nickname meaning little fart :D

We call Hudson "boogie bear" -- I have no idea where it came from but we use it more than his name. So weird. It gets shortened to boogs a lot. We also swap out boogie when he's being acting out and call him sassy bear, angry bear, sleepy bear, etc. I have way too much free time....

Sometimes I call Jax Boogs to shorten my regular nickname of Boogers.

Ha, this is hilarious. The most common are Quella Bella, Squeeks and Mama's Roux. She also acknowledges Sassy Pants, Sassy Panties, Fuzzy Butt, Q, Q-Roux, Sissy La La, Varmint, Rodent, Princess, Quella Bear.

Radar is squishy face, squishy, squish, my love, my heart and snort face. Yeah... He has me wrapped around his paw.

Awesome, I love all the nick names. It's funny too, because they respond to their nick names too. :)

Oh man, I am loving this thread!! It makes me so happy to know I'm not the only weirdo that calls my dogs whatever I feel like at the time! :lmao: Bisou is often:

Munchkin
Muffin (started as a slip of the tongue while trying to call her Munchkin, then I realized she looks like a chocolate chip muffin, so it stuck!)
Farty Pants
Stinky Butt
Bitty Bisou or Bitty-Sue

Cheli has a few.... Cheli bean, Belly bean, Bean, beany Bear, Stink, Stinker, Stinky Bear, Stink pot

And when Daddy is upset he gets his full name thrown at him which is Espisito Towes Chelios (three Chicago Blackhawks players) -- yes, Cheli does pout when this is used. It is too funny

And my favourite... Quella La Poux. Yes, it's pronounced as poo. But it's only sang in an opera type tone. And unfortunately, once I say it, I sing it over and over again until I annoy myself crazy. Man o man, these dogs make fools out of us.

Edit: It's crazy how I keep coming up with more that I call her now that I'm off work and spending time with her. Saucy, saucy pants, woo woo, Quells.

XoXo from Quella La Roux and her mommy too!

Tallulah is T, little one, little missy, mommy's girl, chunka & snorty girl

DiMaggio, is D, maggie, mag pie & old Man

Munson is new so they are still developing. We've been trying to stick to Munson for now to get him used to his new name but i find myself also calling him pretty boy & trouble, lol

Benjamin is sometimes Honey boy, sometimes devil dog!
Bitty is itsy bitsy, or bittums

Remy's formal name I gave him for FBRN was Remington (names can only be used once for foster dogs and then go on the "Names Already Used list". The name Remy had already been taken.) but we've always just called him by the name he came with, which was Remy.
His nicknames are Rem-rem and Rem-a-deeeeee.

I don't have any nicknames for Travis. My son calls his Brownie and Brownie-brown. He calls each foster dog a very generic name, I suppose in an attempt to separate himself from them. He's called a lot of them Brown Dog if they are creams or fawns. Travis started out just being called Brown Dog, too. But over time, my son revised it, especially when I decided to adopt Travis. So Travis' full name now is Travis Brownie.

I call foster Rocco either Mr. Rocco or Rocco-shmocco. My son calls him Other Dog.

I LOVE all of these names!!! Frenchies are crazy dogs and need crazy nicknames!

Wally is Little Man, Walter when he's bad (Walter White when he really 'breaks bad ;) ), Hefty, Fart A$$, Wally Walnuts, Walls.

Uma is Squishy, Bums, Bummy, Bubbles, Umies.

This is how I got my username Squishy Walnuts. :D

Isabelle is: Is, Isa, Girl, Fat Girl

Titan is: Fate, Fatsu, T, Ti Ti, Fase

So funny!

I was talking about all these funny names last night with my fiance and he reminded me of the name his dad with Alzheimer's gave Bisou. He can't for the life of him remember her name, but he is absolutely smitten with her and will ask about how the "little square dog" is doing. We cracked up about how oddly accurate that was, so she's also often referred to as Square Dog. Also, when we first got Bisou we were toying with naming her Bijou (pronounced the same, means jewel) and my mom kept calling her that instead. So she decided to just go with Bee, which has morphed over time into Bumble Bee.

We were also giggling over what our shepherd mix Shasta is called too. My favorites are Fatsta and Shastastic :D

Hahaha I use my god-awful opera singing voice when I call her Itty Bitty Bisou... I often wonder what our dogs must think of us!
