Banksy is now 7 months old and we have just started allowing him to sleep with us in our bed (the first time about a week ago). We let him once and now we can't stop.... I would miss him too much now if he slept in the living room!
When he was a baby we did crate training, and he had his own small bed in the living room. and now he has his own king size dog bed in the living room which he loves. (pictures)

We thought we would NEVER let him sleep in our bed. But he is too irresistible and made his way in eventually. Once we get another baby there is no way both of them will be fitting into our bed!??! haha. We have a king size but I mean common two dogs in the bed?!

My boyfriend has a slight dog allergy and gets itchy but stilllll lets banksy come into our bed. Its crazy how much we love our little fur babies isn't it?

Do your frenchies sleep in your bed or in their own bed?

Jax slept in the kitchen when we first got him at about 10 1/2 weeks old. And then 2 months later I thought it would be GREAT if he slept in the bed with us for one night. 2 1/2 years later, he is still in our bed and I don't think we would ever be able to put him back in the kitchen. We have a king size bed and I am usually left with little room to lay because he likes to spread out and usually curls up right next to me. The funny thing is, I am always more concerned about his comfort than my own. Just recently I started letting him sleep in my son's bed with him either on a Friday or Saturday night for a sleepover so that I can sleep comfortably. But, usually between 6 - 7 am Jax is at our door knocking (scratching) to come in and get into our bed. And I always miss him when he does his sleepover!

They sleep in their own beds in our bedroom on the other side of the room, much to my husband's dismay because of Wally's snoring. :D I only let them on our bed on the weekends in the morning, or if I'm off that day. I will get up to let them out for potty and then it's in our bed for some snuggle time before we're up for the day.

We have doggie beds on all 3 floors in our house, the basement where we watch TV, the living room where we'll hang out when people are over and in our bedroom. 6 beds for 2 dogs. lol!

Edited to add: That's ONE big doggie bed!

Moses always sleeps on the bed with us. We also initially thought that he will stay in his doggy bed by our bed, but that lasted whole 2 weeks :), so he has slept with us ever since.
He sleeps in between us and during early morning hours crawls up and puts his little head on our pillow. He is so adorable

Haha too funny... my best friend has two frenchies and when we got Banksy I told her he would never sleep in our bed and she laughed and said "you just wait"

And now I understand exactly what she means!

It's from Costco!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so excited when I saw it. He loves it... and there's room for another one... hehehe

Well we are sleep deprived with two frenchies in bed with us! Jake snores, especially when he is on his back, and likes to dive under the covers next to my legs around 3 or 4 in the morning. Stella snuggles next to my husband usually. She freaks out if you try to put covers on her. They get restless when the sun comes up so that's when they make us get up.

Hudson slept in his crate until he was probably 6 or 7 months old. Then my boyfriend went to South Africa for a month and Hudson somehow...made his way to the bed haha. And now he's never gone back. He sleeps up by my head so I have a setup with what I call a "decoy" pillow. I have one pillow at the top and then the actual pillow I use below it. Otherwise he takes my pillow and I end up curled up at the end of the bed with no pillow lol. I am uncomfortable half the time but absolutely cannot sleep if he's not in bed with me.

Funny how they are each so different hey. Banksy will stay in bed until we get up, which is nice. If he has to pee, which usually isn't until 7AM he will just sit up and stare at us LOL he is so funny. Then I am usually up for work. But if for some reason I wanted to sleep in he would be content coming back with me and laying back down. it's so nice

Bentley slept in his crate for about a month. Then he made his way to my bed. Now he would never be able to sleep anywhere else I don't think.

Buckwheat has slept with us since day one. My husband has a huge mutt that does so there was no way I was going to make Buck sleep in a crate. He likes to sleep in the crook of my knee usually. Or between my feet.

Twiggy sleeps in the bed with us. When she was spayed I put her in the crate for a few nights because I was so worried I might hurt her if I rolled over or whatever, or she might try to jump off the bed or something. I missed her so much those few nights!

OMG! :D That is exactly how it is with Moses as well! Glad to hear I'm not the only one who sacrifices a steady good night sleep over having my little buddy next to me :)

What a common phenomenon!

In our old house we had our bedroom downstairs and Map doesnt go down stairs, so she slept upstairs in the living room(on the couch). Now in our new house, the bedroom is on the main level and what can I say : Map somehow made her way in! My boyfriend was gone for a few months, so I started bringing her in. Now she scratches on the door every time Im in the bedroom and she is locked out.
She LOVES to go under the cover. She stays under there for a few minutes until she realizes she doesnt get as much oxygen and then crawls to the top to stick her head out :D
I love waking up in the morning and see her laying next to me. On her back. With her head on the pillow. Like a human.

Also, the other night she decided to lay in between my boyfriend and me and the entire night I was nervous she would get squeezed, so needless to say I woke up many times to check on her lol

Lol I have a limit! I'll let Hudson do whatever he wants no matter how uncomfortable I get. But we have toast right now and last night he got booted to the living room for bad behavior!

it seems to be a common thing for sure. I had a feeling It would be that way. I am surprised we lasted as long as we did to be honest. But at 7 months old our bed is officially his bed too ! :)

6 BEDS!!! hahahaha that's amazing! What a life! I wish all the doggies in the world were as spoiled as ours.

Banksy can only have one dog bed on the floor at a time, if he has two he pees on the other one. Or he used to anyway. Weirdo

Awe that is too cute. Banksy shares my pillow with me sometimes. I sleep on my side and he has been sleeping right up against my back and I can feel him breathing on me haha. He doesn't snore loudy which is nice... if he did I don't think we would have him in our bed. Or maybe we would just get ear plugs... lol

But yeah I know what you mean by getting up to make sure they are ok. Every time I wake up I check to see where he is. Sometimes his face is logged right under a pillow or into a blanket. not sure how that's comfortable at all but I figure he will move if its not .

Haha yea at first it made me super nervous when she went under the cover, because I was scared Id fall asleep, and so will she and then she might suffocate... But I figured she isnt stupid, and the blanket is not vacuum sealed, so I let her down and watched her for a few minutes. And she always comes 'back up' after a few minutes. Its so cute. I think if I were to build her a fort, she would LOVE that. It appears she likes to pretend to sleep in a den lol. You're not a wolf,Map :D

Dexter sleeps in his crate just now, in the kitchen. We've recently been talking about bringing him up to our bedroom now that it is starting to get a lot colder at night, and I was hoping he'd sleep in his bed at the foot of ours. Having read all of the above though, I think it's unlikely he'll stay there hahaaaa!

My dogs sleep on the bed with me. Usually foster dogs start off sleeping in their crate downstairs, because I know not everyone wants their dog to sleep with them. But after a while I usually cave, and let the fosters on the bed too.

Right now Travis and foster Rocco use my bed as their wrestling ring for the first 10 minutes after I turn the light off. They use my body to climb on and jump off onto each other. It's annoying because I want to sleep! Luckily, after a while, they settle down and go to sleep. Each dog has their own snore sounds, so I can keep track of who is who in the dark.
